Services

We provide information to residents on many aspects of housing and many other community issues including:-

How to set up community associations or action groups, changes in legislation, rent setting process, repairs, care taking, grounds maintenance , housing benefits, anti-social behavior, health and safety issues, homelessness , complaints .

We also disseminate information from organisations such as Shelter, the Tenants and Residents Organisation of England, the Tenant Participation Advisory Service, the Chartered Institute of Housing, the London Housing Unit, the London Hazards Centre, Enfield Voluntary Action, and the London Regeneration Network .

Consultation

We are committed to promoting meaningful consultation between residents and the London Borough of Enfield.  We have representatives on various committees and panels, giving the residents a voice.  We have an input into issues such as local authority tenancy agreements, Best Value in Housing, Tenant Participation Compacts, recruitment and selection of tenant participation staff, contractor selection for various works being undertaken in the borough.
We work in partnership with the London Borough of Enfield's Tenant Involvement Unit. We promote consultation with tenants, residents and community associations and provide information in various ways including: -

* Bi-monthly meetings of our membership.    
* Bi-monthly meetings of our management committee.    
* Membership mailings.    
* Presentations.    
* Questionnaires.    
* Providing access to independant legal advice.    
* Providing photocopying, fax and computer services.    
* Telephone enquiries.    
* Providing a residents resource centre in our office.
